Truth of Soul

Soul purpose is to understand the truth of who we are and then share with the world. It is a feeling rather than a physical thing. It is why we do something rather than what we do - simple as smiling at a passerby in the street or Grand as trying to save the world.  The most common objection of existence of Soul is the difficulty to explain that how something which is non physical can possibly cause the body to move. The two are so different that possibly cannot interact with each other. We know that one thing can casually interact with each other, though we may not have any idea how such interraction take place. In each case cause seem to have different nature from the effect like forces and fields Vs.solid specially located particle like entities. Those who deny the existence of anything beyond the physical world face difficult time in explaining the reality of conciousness.  Soul is the living entity inside the body and works through it. It is a spiritual spark, other side a...

Soul, Moksha and Rebirth

Of all the God's creations human beings are the only one that have the ability to see the invisible, imagine the unbeliveable and do the impossible. Most of the times, we fail to recognize that our real self is far more powerful and capable than we think. We are blessed with the strength to change our destiny when we realize the truth about  K arma.   The principles of Moksha have been derived from the effect of Karmas and the affiliated theories of human soul. The concept of Soul exists in all religions but the concept differs from culture to cultiure. Various descriptions are in existence with respect of soul. Hinduism belives that a soul can migrate from one physical existence to another, it can neither be killed nor created.  The status of human soul and rebirth depends on the soul's past karma. The soul is uplifted through good action performed and degraded with every bad action. Self realisation is the key to obtaining Moksha. One should realise that it doesn't ...

Chronological age and Biological age

Aging is the main risk factor for vascular disease and ensuing cardiovascular events, a leading cause of death worldwide. It is essential to develop early life biomarkers in a aging population which identify individuals who are at high risk of developing vascular damage. Strategies to extend life and health span require understanding of individual differences in age-dependent functional decline which is known as Biological aging. Due to the complex nature of age-associated changes in the arteries, there are different parameters relating to vascular aging which can be measured.  RNA biomarkers can be effective indicators of biological processes by using profiling methods.     Choronological age is the legal age one has lived. It is the age one has lived from date of birth to a certain date, so as to count on the same parameter. Biological age, a natural process is the accumulation of damage to cells and tissues caused by over activation of immune system in the body. ...

Budget and Economies of scale for 2023-24

A budget is known to be a balanced one when the estimated expenditure is expected to be equal to estimated receipts in a financial year. This type of budget is based on the principle of 'Living within means' and is believed that Govt. expenditure should not exceed the revenue. A balanced budget, though is based on ideal approach to maintain fiscal discipline, but such budget does not ensure of  financial stability at times of depression or deflation. Such budgets donot provide any solution to unemployment and,as such not suitale to less developed countries as it restricts their expenditure and limits their economic growth.Theotrically it is easy to balance the budget, but when comes to its implementation, such balance is hard to achieve.  In India, economy has vast resources like manpower, techniques, minerals  and financial services. The main issue, as I think is to balance and use these resources in such a manner to accelerate the economy. A glance at the following will ...

Human cost of enforcing regulations with solutions

There has been a long recognised positive relation between income levels and measures of human welfare. Evidence exists of linking distribution of income and regulations changing the income levels of higher income households.    Regulations are salient feature of a well functioning society. Such regulations brings in both at economic and human costs which underscores the need for judicious application of carefully designed regulations. Failure to maintain this realty results into huge buildup of red tape both at Centre and State levels. These factors becomes associated to poverty, income inequality and immortality. Both Centre and States should carry out serious and complete compaigns to identify and eliminate such costly regulations and impose regulatory budgetary rules thereby empowering state agencies to regularly re-evaluate and eliminate such poorly performing regulations before enforcing new regulations. The results will be encouraging and will certainly show a path whic...

Combating Healthcare corruption in the hospitals

Corruption in hospitals can be defined as abuse of entrusted power for 'Private Gain'. It adversely effects the most needed sources costing lives of the patients who come for treatment. These hospitals never ever care for such patients and extracts money from them by taking tests (sometimes not even needed). They project the image of sick person as if the tests are not done, patient will die.  There are four types of corruption - Supply vs. Demand corruption  Public vs. Private corruption, Grand vs. Petty corruption and Convential vs. Unconventional corruption. A number of sting operations has been carried out in India to reflict the corruption in health sector not so long in the past. The sting operation "Operation Jonk" was carried out on 22nd July 2014 by News Nation, Hindi news channel disclosed the nexus between doctors and diagnostic centres on how they are deceiving patients but conducting unnecessary tests and doctors getting commissions in return. There are various thoughts about the existence of relationship between body and soul. Blog 337 - Impact on lifestyle after retirement

The world population is rapidly ageing as a result of increasing life expactancy and low fertility with a faster pace in high-income countries and huge societal impact. As estimated, that by 2050, older people (above 60) will account for more than one-fourth of the population in all the continents apart from Africa with Europe peaks at 35%. As pension reforms across the world attempt to adapt to the ongoing demographic transition to evaluate their impact on health and welfare move towards the fact that people live long years after retirement compared to the past.     Transition to retirement has an independent effect on perceived health status, physical activity and selected behaviourial risk factors. It should be identified as a target moment for preventive interventions so as to promote health and wellbeing in older ages. Retirement itself is a life-course transition likely to top affect behaviourial risk factors' patterns and ultimately health after retirement. A negat...

Blog 336 - Activation of Reiki symbols for treatment

It is quite necessary to understand the activation of Reiki symbols which are to be used for giving treatment. By keeping the person to be treated in mind, following are three ways to attune and activate the symbols:- 1. One can activate while doing hands on healing by drawing the symbols with the fingers on self or others. Wait for few seconds for the effect to take place and notice the effect. 2. While doing distance healing, one can draw the symbols in the mind on the image of the person, event, situation, place or goal. Again, wait for few seconds for the effect to take place and treat it towards end to the session.   3. While visualising or drawing the symbols with the fingers, name of the symbol be repeated. For people, who are not so visual or how choose not to visualize, just repeating names three times also        activates the symbols.   As a matter of fact, as one continue to practise Reiki, simply the intention to use a particular symbol ac...

Our body is a beautiful fortress. It comes to a miracle with its ability to store trauma at a cellular level. Quite often, the physical and emotional manifestations of the trauma that brings in back pain, fatigue, insomnia, a tight neck, anxiety, depression - to name a few. Making the conection between the event and the symptoms is the first step in healing. Reiki can support this process by opening the heart space and allowing the individual feel again. In Reiki, "ki" refers to energy - can be healthy or unhealthy. It is the primary energy of our emotions. It flows through pathways in the body called Chakras. When healthy Ki is flowing freely in our body and our chakras are balanced, we feel energetic. Blog Post - 334 Reiki - a complimentary health approach

Mikao Usai, a Japanese national born on 15th August. 1865 was the father of a form of spiritual practice known as Reiki. The practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to the body thereby improving balance and flow of energy to support healing.     Treatment process starts with the Master placing hands gently on or over a part of body. Blog Post 333 - Supreme Court orders on Forensic audit of Fortis Healthcare shares deal

It is mentioned in media reports today that Hon'ble Supreme Court of India has ordered for forensic audit of shares deal carried out by Fortis Healthcare. Certainly, the hospital run by corporate has concentrated on increasing share value in stock exchange without caring for how the Doctors are treating patients. It is not only in one hospital but the menace is spreading silently thoughout the health sector. This situation became more aggravated ever since the Govt. started giving subsidies to such hospitals for the treatment of COVID patienrs. Besides, this report I wish that the report will cover the issues of internal working of hospital, mentioned below/  In my earlier posts. I did make a mention of that Doctors in private hospitals are looking for to meet the targets set out in order to save their jobs and for this they poach for the patients to meet their targets. They keep patients in ICUs for more than required period thereafter declare them dead after the bill cross their ...

When will India come out of inferiority complex ?

Don't get me wrong as there are many things which needs improvement in India. But, at the same time, blindly thinking that west is better  than India and we should behave like people in west totally absurd. Indians bending over backwards to please foreigners reflects a deeprooted sense of inferiority.  Mr. Alfred Adler, born on 7th February, 1870 in Vienna who coined the idea of inferiority complex. He was a Austrian physician and psychiatrist best known for forming a schol of thought known as individual psychology. He held that many neurotic symptoms could be traced to over compensation of this feeling. Inferiority complex is a multi - layered disorder that generally has more than one cause. It is meant as lack of self esteem, self confidence and feeling of inadequacy. It is not a diagnosable mental health disorder. Chances are that one experiences feeling of self doubt and uncertainty at some point. So, if a negative self-image effects daily life continuoisly, one might have ...

Comparison between leader and politician in democracy

A leader is one who strives for to make a powerful country. Whereas politician tries for his power. Leader believes in "Unity is strength". Whereas politician in decentralisation as strength. Leader earn respect by virtue of character. A politician demands respect of office. Leader adresses the problems and provides sustainable solutions to it whereas politician blames the ruling party and this a common feature of discussions commonly heard in media daily. A true leader is concerned about the next generation whereas Politician thinks about the next election. A leader always come with a clear course of action and take responsilibity of errors, if made. A politician seeks to avoid responsibility for errors and act to be smart all the time. A leader is one who leads from the front whereas the politician is one who leads from the back.  In democracy, politics need to be open up to the youth and veterans in the domain should promote the younger generation into mainstream politics....

Strange ways of flow of Economy

It is quite surprising the way economy is moving in India. As I understand, quite confusing views are coming up which needs to be sorted out in a suitable manner to put the economy in a systemic mode (shared herein) since these observations swings either way of understanding and seems difficult to sort out.   1. If interest rates are increased. How the poor can afford house, car to live a smooth life? 2. If interest rates are decreased. How elders earn interest to live a retirement life. 3. If tax rates are increased, Govt. is taking people's share of bread and butter. 4. If tax rates are reduced, Govt. is trying to help rich. 5. If GDP increases, Govt. is working for big corporates. 6. If GDP reduces, there is no job creation. 7. If currency strengthens, exports gets impacted. 8. If currency weakens, import bill goes up. 9. If food prices go up, masses get suffered. 10. If food prices are down, farmers get suffering.  11. If stock market is going up, economy is in a mess....

Modern slavery and Corruption

Modern day slavery is the acute exploitation of other people for personal or commercial gain. Modern slavery is around us but just out of our sight. From outside, the jobs people are doing look like a normal one. But they are controlled by threats of being their jobs taken away, pushing them into inescapable debt traps and the likewise simply because they are in search of opportunities to save the lives of their families from poverty To achieve this, most fall into oppressive traps.and end up in modern slavery.  Following are the main common forms of slavery -  1. Human Trafficking 2. Bonded labour/ Debt bondage. 3. Slavery of children. 4. Forced labour/early marriage 5.  Traditional way of slavery where people are treated as property and their 'slave' status passed down the family line. Slavery and like forms of exploitation are facilitated and thrive by rampant use of corruption. Whatever the Govt, make laws/ rules and regulations and related controlling measues, unless...

Lucrative business opportunity in healthcare

Healthcare is supposed to cater to public as social service to the public. Govt. of  India is spending good sum to promote this service, even more in meeting the Covid menace.  The availability of funds has now emerged in converting the hospitals as a profit center.  These hospitals are now becoming more concerned about making profits and improving their share value in stock exchanges instead of providing proper health care. The treatment given to the patients is evaluated on the basis of his financial capacity rather than focusing on treatment. Patients are kept for more than longer period just to raise the bill so that hospital make profit. Even the top most doctors are either not competent enough to manage this because their purpose is to make profit. Whether a patient dies after keeping more than required time is of no concern for them.  It is often heard of the incidents in case of Covid patients who died in hospitals, their bodies were not handed over to the fa...

Measures to control Inflation

In real terms, inflation is the decline in the purchasing power of currency. In India, for example, one can recollect rate of sugar was Rs.5/- to Rs 6/- per kg. in around 1960s. Whereas today it is Rs.40.- and above. Same is also in other segments of the economy. So, it is not the cost is high but the value of currency is going down since the product is the same whereas in money terms, value of Rupee has gone down since more money is being spent now to acquire the same quantity. On the other hand,  production is going down not only due to our more dependency on imported goods which is growing day by day. The rates at which banks are giving loans are becoming costly. Moreover, demand outstrips supply and in order to maintain supply employer has to spend more on labor and materials. Going down of production causes loss of jobs and thus unemployment grows. It is a vicious circle.  While comparing with the other countries, it is visible that all such countries are also facing prob...

Working of Private hospitals in Delhi - An eye opener for the Govt.

A private hospital, as its name refers, is not owned by Government. Under the present economic system, these hospitals work as a company i.e. by issuing shares to public and donations, if any body gives it to them. Quite some of them have tie ups with the companies by giving discounts to their employees for, if they come to hospital for treatment. To the share holders, they give dividend periodically and their shares are quoted in the share market almost daily. This state of affairs have spoiled the entire health system as they run only after profits.  Doctors are hired and given a monetary target to achieve with in a stipulated period otherwise they are no longer required to serve. The result as I have seen and experienced is that their first choice is to attend to those patients who pay cash for consultation, treatment and so on so forth.  On the other hand, patients from Govt. departments come through Panels established by the Government . Doctors give last chance to such p...
