Healthcare is supposed to cater to public as social service to the public. Govt. of  India is spending good sum to promote this service, even more in meeting the Covid menace.  The availability of funds has now emerged in converting the hospitals as a profit center.  These hospitals are now becoming more concerned about making profits and improving their share value in stock exchanges instead of providing proper health care. The treatment given to the patients is evaluated on the basis of his financial capacity rather than focusing on treatment. Patients are kept for more than longer period just to raise the bill so that hospital make profit. Even the top most doctors are either not competent enough to manage this because their purpose is to make profit. Whether a patient dies after keeping more than required time is of no concern for them.  It is often heard of the incidents in case of Covid patients who died in hospitals, their bodies were not handed over to the family members.
