Lucrative business opportunity in healthcare

Healthcare is supposed to cater to public as social service to the public. Govt. of  India is spending good sum to promote this service, even more in meeting the Covid menace.  The availability of funds has now emerged in converting the hospitals as a profit center. 

These hospitals are now becoming more concerned about making profits and improving their share value in stock exchanges instead of providing proper health care. The treatment given to the patients is evaluated on the basis of his financial capacity rather than focusing on treatment. Patients are kept for more than longer period just to raise the bill so that hospital make profit. Even the top most doctors are either not competent enough to manage this because their purpose is to make profit. Whether a patient dies after keeping more than required time is of no concern for them. 

It is often heard of the incidents in case of Covid patients who died in hospitals, their bodies were not handed over to the family members. Imagine the horrible scene in such cases in the homes of such deaths. Some even suspected that hospitals might have taken out the organs from dead bodies for trading purposes. Moreover, hospitals have muscle power as by having lawyers on their panels so that in case, any family member approach the court they are ready with the excuses thus putting entire blame on the patient in order to hide their weaknesses.

Govt should enforce laws to stop the hospitals from making such horrible mistakes to save loss of lives at the hands of such hospitals. Their modus operandi is very unique. First, they admit the patient, gets tests advised by their own doctors, tests in their own labs. Then after some days even if the patient is admitted for minor problem, shift them to ICU where family members are allowed for a limited time .When the end comes, they again attempt to make some more tests to extract more money. And in the end, switch off the oxygen supply and the patient dies. 

When approached by the family, their top most of the hospital advises to make a enquiry again, by their own doctor who submits the report that all fault was of the patient. And then everything calms down. 

 Wish such incident happen to Doctor's wife, children, parents, their approach suddenly changes. 

I am not able to stablize myself since my wife was made to die in Escorts Fortis hospital, New Delhi last year in October by creating same circumstances. 

Same Doctors are still on the rolls of the hospital, must have by now killed some more patients in the same manner and may be looking for poach another game to earn profit for them or hospitals.

I donot understand whether Govt. is not taking care to see whetehr such hospityals are making proper use of Grants/ subsidies or pilferage is done by the companies holding control of such hospotals and making fool of the public.

Wish Govt. make adequate note of such scams and take action on such hospitals.

India's growth accelerated to 7.7.% in 4th quarter of 2017-18 (F.Y.) which was up from 7% in the previous quarter.
