Policing of Private Hospitals

It has been quite often observed that private hospitals having their ICUs admits the patients where no relative is allowed to stay more than half an hour in a day and see  the type of care and cure given to the patients. In other words, patient is left alone to solely at the mercy of staff attending to them. These hospitals have their own security guards etc. to keep the relatives away from the patient.who are not even informed to be sure that whether food and medicines are given to the patient on time.

I am a victim of such behavior of Fortis Escorts hospital, Okhla, New Delhi. My wife wad admitted on 6th September 2021 and for removal of stone in the gallbladder which was only about one to two hours of surgery. After the surgery, she was kept in ICU for 35 days for different reasons. Whenever I go see my wife I found her either in coma or sometimes speaking in a very low voice. No Doctor was there to say that how this is happening and what treatment they are giving for recovery. Finally, on 11th October, 2021 she expired when Doctor on duty switched off the oxygen supply machine to her. Why and on whose orders this heinous crime was conducted, I still don't know even after 6 months of her expiry.

I wrote to Dr. Ashok Seth so called chairman of the hospital who replied that he will inquire and appointed their own doctor. The report cooked up a different story says that she was already a patient, her age factor and made her responsible for the tragedy.

I am still not clear that whether the  Doctor who carried out the surgery was BLIND  who could not see the health of the patient and still kept her for 35 days in ICU. What for? Only to kill her? Are they concerned about raising the bill and more income to the hospital Very shameful on the part of hospital and their chairman Dr Ashok Seth who doesn't have the courage to speak the truth. having a string of degrees and awards by the Govt do not stand stand any value.

I have submitted my complaint on 26th Dec 2021 to DMC (changed name of Medical council of India)on 26th December 2021 who have no system to reply, that's what I sure of.

This has persuaded me to say that Govt. who is flooding money to such private hospitals should raise Unit named Hospital Police who independently should not only see but keep a check on such hospitals who are making fools to public and doing business in the name of healthcare. Such controls will be of a great help to the people of India to a large extent.
