Height of medical negligence in Fortis Escorts hospital

 It is a fact that this hospital is a black spot in the history of hospitals of India. 


The doctor here are negligent to provide proper treatment to the patient and the hospital does not have any system of checking their working. A CBI inquiry is a much needed action to be taken up to prevent misuse of Govt. funds and subsidies showered upon the hospital. The hospital is full of infection spread in its ICU but the doctor blame it on the patient without considering that the patient was healthy at the time of admission. The head of the hospital Dr Ashok Seth don’t bother to check upon the working of such doctors.     The live example is of Dr Sanjay Verma  who carried out the surgery of removal of stone in the gall bladder of my wife. He kept her in ICU for 35 days for different reasons. She had brain stroke, lungs infection, put on ventilator till her death. A complete disaster of medical system needs inquiry in the case. Government should have a forensic audit of the bills amounting to more than Rs one lakh where the patient is kept in ICU for long period finally meeting death. It will definitely come out to be a case of medical negligence and the concerned doctor be sacked immediately. The most disastrous part was when a doctor came to switch off the ventilator of my wife - by which authority and on whose orders - not clear till date. Nobody bothered to check that how the infection crept in the body of the patient who was kept in ICU for 35 days throughout.  I request upon the Hon’ble Lt Governor of Delhi and the media to take a look in the matter and take suitable action.   This will be a great help to the employees on various govt panels and the general public as well. I am 71 years old and my family is completely shattered now. My wife has gone forever. I share my sorrow and grief and look upon the authorities to save people from such disasters for the future. It has also been understood that Dr Sanjay Verma has his own clinic outside where from he is carrying out his own medical business by making fool of people breaking norms of his profession. What a mockery of legal system.        My wife had brain surgery in Finland when we went to attend the PhD degree ceremony of our daughter conferred upon her by Marie Curie foundation in 2014. The action of the Doctors there is certainly appreciable who detected the infection in a day and was rectified same day. Indian doctors should take a lesson from.
