War or Peace - Which Is The Better Option ?

Peace and security is an essential factor of human life. A peaceful and secure environment is critical to every society since it affects all aspects of economic and social development in a country, and is necessary to realization of Human rights. There is a plenty of authority for the view that, in a chaotic and bloodthirsty world and the threat of violence are the essential building blocks for peace and stability.

Though in the ancient world, from China to Greece to Rome, military might was regarded as essential for maintenance of international order. War is not the only way to bring peace. There are many alternative ways such as negotiating to terms which are reasonable to both the countries, hence resolving the problem. There shall always be a win-win situation. Some terms shall be accepted by one party and some by the others.

Take a look at our two world wars. They have proved that wars cause major suffering and in fact, the only reason that World War I ended was that most of the countries involved were exhausted and fed up, and begged their leaders for a ceasefire to be called. Wars would be endless if it was not for humanity's own limits. World war II ended, as the world knows by Atom bomb dropping in Japan.

From the above experiences, it remains a fact to note that wars are not paid for in wartime, the bill comes later. It is quite strange to understand that on the one hand, we spend Billions of dollars searching for life on other Planets and Trillions of dollars killing the life on this one.

In this generation, where nuclear weapons and Bio weapons have been invented, another war would lead to total annihilation of the country or may be the world too. Most of the countries are in possession of these weapons of mass destruction. So, war in this generation does no bring peace but in turn, shall cause more violence and despair. As such, unlike in earlier two wars, another war will not, probably, spare anybody to live on this planet. Both the parties will suffer huge losses of and it becomes beyond imagination as to who will enjoy the life thereafter. War shall cause bloodshed and extinction of mankind.

Most people who hear the question "Is a world without war possible" probably answer "yes". Many activists would say that war is a conscious choice of Politicians, and if decision makers were to reject military force as a tool of public policy then war would end. Both of these perspectives are rooted in individual analysis, interpretation of history, and the decision making process that leads to war. If the global community can continue to develop understanding the causes of peace, then a world without war may not only be possible but in fact inevitable.

In my opinion, war will never be able to bring true, long lasting peace. Nations will be hit economically and emotionally to a large extent. So violence is not the way to create peace. War is neither a solution or option to bring peace. We should understand the results from the previous two World wars and look for peace to prevail upon.
