Manage Setback With Comeback

A setback is a time when you go 'backwards' a little in your progress against social anxiety, either because you faced too high of an anxiety situation or negative thoughts comes up in your head in an inopportune time when you weren't expecting it. Anxiety does not really vanish forever. It is just like any other feeling you have -happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, love and so on. Just like one cannot eliminate those emotions from your brain, you can't rid anxiety from your brain once and for all.

Every setback is a setup for a comeback. God wants to bring you out better than you were before. Never let a small setback ruin your future. They are important, if we pay attention to them. They provide clues that things aren't working, either because of things that we are or aren't doing, of changes outside our control but do impact us.

The three common setbacks are due to -

1. Loss of motivation.

2. Self curveballs.

3. Self sabotage.

It is well said that you can cry again or you can try again. Choice is yours. As we do not mature with age. We mature with setbacks that we face in life. Success is about handling the setbacks, problems and mess, over and over. History shows us multiple examples of people who panicked and made poor decisions. During the stock market crash of 1929, thousands of people panicked and committed suicide. But the market came back, bigger and better than before. Before setting up on the way to setback, the golden rule is not to get distracted in any way or manner from achieving the goals.

Here are four steps to turn your setbacks into comebacks -

1. Focus your vision - We need to erase any stigma we feel about the setback and        replace that negative thought with a positive one - rather than beating ourselves      up, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and go ahead about getting it done        better in future.

2. Make a decision - Both success and failures are decisions. One your vision in            place, you need to decide you're going to win, despite the setback.

3. Take action - A decision without action is simply an illusion. An action without        a vision is a mere confusion. When you take action on a decision, you're taking        responsibility for the setback.

4. Keep the desire - Desire is the degree of energy you are willing to exert to reach      the goal. Having a setback is not an 'if ' proposition ---it's a 'when'proposition.        And when one occurs, you need to make a conscious decision to view, it not as a      problem, but rather as a learning opportunity.

Setbacks don't have to keep you from experiencing success. They are a part of the ride in life and business. By using these tips, you can come back from a setback stronger than ever before.

Life is a series of experiences, each one of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realize this. For the world was built to develop character, and we must learn that the setbacks and grieves which we endure help us in our marching onward. Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.
