Nuclear experiments and Nature's revenge

Nuclear testing has often been used as an indicator of scientific and military strength, and many tests have been overtly (without concealment or secrecy) political in their intention, most nuclear states publicly declared their nuclear status by carrying out a nuclear test. The effects of a nuclear explosion are much more destructive and multifaceted than those caused by conventional explosives.

The end of World War II marked the beginning of the atomic age, when a number of states launched the nuclear arms race. The beginning of the atomic age marked the outset of nuclear weapons
testing, which is responsible for radioactive contamination of a large number of sites worldwide. Nuclear tests were conducted in all environments, namely in the atmosphere, underground and underwater. Atmospheric nuclear weapons testing involved the release of considerable amounts of radioactive materials directly into the environment and caused the largest collective dose from man-made sources of radiation.

The effects of radiation on humans and animals are well documented as having an extremely detrimental effect. When exposed to radiation in large amounts, humans can develop cancer. If it
is controlled, it can be used to treat cancer. The exposure to radiation in in the wild could to generations of difficulties through out an entire ecosystem.

Detonating nuclear weapons above ground sends radioactive materials as high as 50 miles into he atmosphere. Large particles fall to the ground near the explosion-site, but lighter particles and gases travel into the upper atmosphere. The particles that are swept up into the atmosphere and fall back down to the earth are called fallout. The fallout can circulate around the world until it gradually falls down to earth or is brought back to the surface by precipitation. The path of fallout depends on wind and weather patterns.

Sickness is the vengeance of nature for the violation of her laws. Nature does not ask any
permission and has nothing to do with your wishes, and whether you like or dislike her laws,
you are bound to accept her as she is, and consequently all her conclusions. The laws of nature
are not dependent on being figured out. They do not seek understanding and appreciation. There
are human made laws and divine laws of nature, sometimes these laws coincide but not always.
God's laws are in consistent with the Natural laws.

Disasters, in consequence, appears to be increasing in scale and frequency. Ecological stresses
caused by human impact meant that six times more people died in 1970s through floods or
drought than in the 1960s. Link between 'natural' flood disasters in low-lying areas of Asia
and deforestation- caused by humans - in the Himalayan watershed is well known. The final
lesson from this tale of man-made woe, that our aim must be to co-operate, intelligently and sympathetically, with nature, treading lightly on the world.
