Rural Education in India

Education is the doorway to the world. It empowers us to better outlook towards life as also a smarter approach towards life and exposition. Rural infrastructure is incomplete without an assessment of the extent to which we have been able to open doors to children of rural India. Without proper education it is difficult to survive in today's modernized world. It is a fact that majority of Indian population still live in villages and so the topic of rural education is of utmost importance. The major topic of concern today is not enrollment figures but the quality of education important in rural India. There is a lot of difference in the level of education and educational facilities when compared to rest of India.
It will be not wrong to say that teachers in rural areas are least concerned with the level education. It is not that children of our cities are taught different subjects than in rural areas. The problem is that the level of education in these areas has been neglected right from the time when the concept of education started in India and negligence is still prevailing & teachers in rural areas are least concerned about making any improvement. The initial upbringing of rural kids are different from urban kids. Besides, inadequate buildings, problems in getting access to schools, lack of teachers, teaching equipment, even absence of toilets etc. are some of the main problems being faced by students almost every day.
The need of hour is to improve basic but important facilities immediately. Lack of accountability among teaching and administrative staff is causing various types of malpractices in the system. These effects the results and performance of students further. Govt. should take adequate steps to check such systems regularly. There should be proper awareness created by the Govt. about their schemes and programs that are to be run. The beneficiaries must have proper knowledge of their rights. Hence need today is create awareness as well as motivation among the people for a brighter future of our country.
As the economy is moving forward, big industrial houses, PSUs etc. should come forward to establish such institutions in rural areas so that the entire picture of rural set up gets strengthened.
