Prophecies of Nostradamus

Michel de Nostradame was born on Dec.14, 1503  in a Jewish family and was one of the nine children of a well-to-do grain dealer at Saint- Remy-de-Provence, South of France. His Grand
father introduced him to Ancient rights of Jewish tradition and celestial sciences of Astrology,
giving him first exposure to the ideas of heavens & how they drive human destiny.
He had to face wrath of catholic priests due to his inclination towards Astrological inferences
during his young age. Despite all these, he completed his doctorate in Medicine in 1525.
In 1538, an off handed remark about a religious statue resulted in charges against him. When
ordered to appear before a church inquisition, he left the province & travel for several years
through Italy. He met a group of monks later on his tour and identify one from them to be future Pope. The monk became Pope in 1585 as per the predictions of Nostradamus. Feeling staying
away enough, he returned to France later and started his practice.
Within few years of settling in France, he started moving towards occult. He started spending
nights in his study in front of a Bowl full of  water and herbs. The meditation bring visions &
trance. It is believed that visions were the basis of his predictions for the future. He wrote his
predictions for coming year giving information to farmers and merchants. The publication got
great response and encouraged him to write more. The book written by him "centuries" is a
collection of 1000 Quatrains ( Four line rhyming verses) which is said to foretell the future.
He accurately predicted French revolution in 1789, Bombing of Hiroshima in 1945,
Assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, his brother Senator Robert Kennedy in
1968, Apollo moon landing in 1969, Space shuttle Challenger accident in 1986, Death of
Princess Diana in 1997,both World wars and so on.The famous assertion made in past twenty
years, he predicted terrorists' attack on Sept.11, 2011. For this, the verse which went viral on
internet -
"Two steel birds will fall from sky on the metropolis. The sky will burn at 45 degrees latitude.
Fire approaches the great new city immediately, a huge scattered flame leaps up".
Not only in this quatrain form, but the phrase "Two steel birds" is revealing as steel suitable
for planes was not invented till 1854 - nearly 200 years after Nostradamus died. Whatever his
methods or intentions may be, his timeless predictions make him popular among those who
continue to seek answers to life's more difficult questions. He has made very good predictions
for India as well.
He predicted his death also. On July 1, 1566, he called up his secretary and told him that he
will not be there next day morning. He died on July 2, 1566.
Such was his prediction which is quite impossible and rare to find in the present world.
