How Artificial Intelligence can be helpful in saving our Planet

Artificial Intelligence has been used to development technologies of collecting Big Data used by the
businesses for years now. It can be for Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Healthcare, Logistics,
Transportation, Speech recognition, Discussions with customers, Transportation and many more.
In addition, Artificial Intelligence can be a important tool which will have impact on Human kind &
can do to serve our planet as well.
Given here under are the seven ways in which it can do so -
 1) Energy Grids - In order to meet challenges for efficient use of Power, Artificial Intelligence is              now beginning to learn patterns of energy use by Day & Night, Geography, and Seasons. By
      collecting this data, predictions can be for its Right distribution, Load management and Storage
      needed.
2) Smart Farming and food distribution - A.I. can help in detection of crop diseases in its early
      stages and related issues. It predicts the weather patterns for farmers to decide crop to produce
      to match with its demand.
 3) Climate - By collecting data on surrounding climate, changes can be made to provide accurate
     picture of damage being done. It also gives information to identify Risk zones & vulnerabilities.
     This can also be helpful in studying patterns for e.g. Hurricanes, Rising ocean levels, Floods,
     Temperature, effects of potential damage besides assisting in finding out pollution levels and its
      solutions.
  4) Green Initiative - Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning can help design &  develop
       products that can reduce waste. Artificial Intelligence monitored devices can learn patterns
       of Human use and automatically change devices i.e.Temperature and Security systems based \
       upon those patterns. Humans can forget to change their devices but Artificial Intelligence
       controlled machine will never forget. It is estimated that as much as 15% of heating and
       cooling energy can be saved through devices and over 1800 Gallons of water could be saved
       per average household.
  5) Weather Prediction - It has been seen that every year property and lives are are lost due to
       weather events. If people and Govt. could have early warning signs, proactive actions could
       be taken. A.I. through its ability to learn weather patterns can provide alerts before the Human
       can. It   also predict how long a weather event may last and its severity based on its
       understanding of conditions.
6) Transportation - Artificial Intelligence can determine best transportation routes and thus, cutting
     Gas consumption by use of self driven electric cars and save from gathering pollution. It can be           used to route traffic for optimal efficiency. It can also determine place(s) for recharging stations
     and co-ordinate with Electric Grids for efficient use of power. It will also be of a great help in the
     personal need and use of cars.     
7)  Smart Cities - Since small amounts of A.I. is in use in cities around the world, some innovations
      have come about its use in the areas of Traffic control, Pedestarian patterns can be recorded
      and additional walkways be added to ease congestion. Activating street lighting identify crime
      patterns and information to police of its control. It can be used in energy sector to identify its
      weaknesses to strengthen the system.

IMF suggestions for India Growth Rate

India's growth accelerated to 7.7.% in 4th quarter of 2017-18 (F.Y.) which was up from 7% in the previous quarter.
