Role of Memories in our lives

While watching falling raindrops from windows of my room,  song which clicked up in my mind 'Disillusioned fool' stating as its lyrics goes in the beginning -

"Raindrops are falling from my windows Teardrops are falling from my eyes, Memories keep                    creeping through shadows of my mind, thoughts of love at times

thus, finally leaving me as disillusioned fool"

It remains a fact that as we age, our memories takes us upon a special significance and makes us end up as a disillusioned fool.

Life is like a river constantly flowing and changing course but memories serve as a stepping stone creating a path we can look back on. They act like chapters of a book, telling our story from childhood throughout the ups and downs that define us. Memories help us establish connection with others so does the shared memories strengthen our relationships, whereas divergent ones may lead to conflicts or misunderstanding. Memories play a crucial role in shaping our behaviour, decision making process, emotional responses thus avoiding repetition of past mistakes.

Since our brain rewires constantly based on activity, memories that are not often accessed become less and less connected thus fade away. Memories of painful emotional experience linger for longer than those involving physical pain. As to the contrary of general belief that sticks and stones can break bones, evidence shows that hurt feelings can be worse than the physical pain.

People often turn to their past achievements and successes for motivation since the past instills confidence and ambition thereby making easier to pursue future goals. In the intricate dance of life, memories serve as choreography roles. They help us in managing the new and challenging circumstances by recalling how we have previously managed similar situations.Time and memory are true artists, they remould reality closer to the heart's desire/

It remains a fact that life cannot be lived backwards but memories make up for that by making some moments truly unforgettable. In the end, it's not the years in the life that count, not even the days, we remember moments that makes memory.
