Diabetes - Causes and Treatment

Diabetes is a condition which effects people of all ages and occurs when blood sugar level (Glucose) is too high. It develops when the Pancreas in the body doesn't make enough insulin or any at all, or when body isn't responding to the effects of insulin properly.Most forms of diabetes are chronic (lifelong) and all forms are manageable with medications and/or lifestyle changes. Four types of Diabetes are - Type 1 - Autoimmune disease whete body destroys insulin-producing cells in the Pancreas. There is no cure for but can be managed by consistent monitoring and treatment.  Type 2 - Body doesn't produce enough insulin or the body's cells don't respond properly. Can be managed oe reversed with healthy lifestyle choices with Doctor's advise.  Type 3 - Gestational which can develop during pregnancy, usually resolves after pregnancy but with a high risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in the life.
