Inflation - Reworking Retirement Planning

The main concern for Retirees where inflation is concerned is that how it affects their purchasing power. This is true even when inflation remains low because Seniors are more likely to spend money on things that tends to increase in price such as Healthcare. Inflation is something people are not thinking on regular basis, but it has significant influence on their financial lives. Not only does inflation effects the prices of consumer goods, Govt. also uses it as a benchmark to determine whether to increase contribution limits to qualified Retirement plans or raise monthly social security benefits. Over a period of time, inflation can take a serious bite on Retirement savings by diminishing Retiree's purchasing powers. Inflation can be retirement killer but it does not have to be for Seniors who take time to develop a plan for combating it. Causes, Symptoms And Treatment Of Kidney Stones - I

Kidney Stones are hard collections of Salt and Minerals often made up of Calcium and Uric Acid. They form inside the Kidney and can travel to other parts of urinary tract. Stones vary in size. Some are as much as a fraction of an inch. Others can grow to a few inches across. Some Kidney stones can become so large they take up the entire kidney. A Kidney stone forms when too much of certain minerals in your body accumulate in urine. Stones are more common in men, people who are obese and those who have Diabetes. Most common type of Kidney Stone contains calcium in combination with Oxalate or Phosphate. Majority of stones are calcium stones. Other chemical compounds that can form stones include Uric Acid, Magnesium ammonium phosphate which forms Struvite stones and Amino acid cysteine. Stones can also result from infection in the urinary tract. Diabetes, High B.P., Gout, Dietary factors are also associated with increased risk of developing Kidney stones.   Smaller Kidney Stones...

How To Grow Bonsai Cherry Tree

The best type of Cherry tree for growing indoors is a Bonsai variety. The options to be kept in mind is that sweet cherries are good for eating fresh but acid cherries are good for cooking. If decided to grow cherry tree from a seed, it is best to get one from Farmers market or off a local tree, as store -bought cherries are not reliable due to the way they are stored. When Cherry tree is grown from a pit, it can take four to five years or longer before starting to produce any fruit. Germinate Cherry Seeds To grow a Cherry tree from a pit, clean the seeds so there is no fruit remaining on them and dry them out. Put the seeds in a sealable container and fill it with soil so the seeds are covered. Put this container in the fridge for 2 to 4 months and time it so early spring to remove them. After removing seeds from the fridge, give them water for first time and them to a brighter warm area. Keep the soil moist during this period and move the seedlings to a sunnier area as the shoo...

Essentials For Writing Posts In Blogs

Times change. Today the need to communicate information effectively is perhaps more important than it has ever been. The past decade has witnessed a significant revolution in the manner in which we gather, process and communicate information. The twin technology of Internet and personal computers have changed the way nearly everyone works whether one is first time Author or a seasoned Professional, one has to keep pace with the spirit of change and revise, update and reorganize the writing of posts. Prior to preparing to write, find a subject you care about and which in your heart feel others should care about. It is this genuine caring, not games with language, which will be the most compelling and seductive elements in your style. Most of us were drawn to writing because we found a subject we feel deeply about, not just we wanted to write about it. Reference Data bases are particularly fruitful sources of information maintained by both public and private organisations. These serv...

Understanding Neural Network

A Neural ( relation to nerve or nervous system) network is a series of Algorithms (set of instructions, typically solve a class of problems or perform a computation) that endeavors to recognize underlying relationships in a set of Data through a process that mimics the way Human Brain operates. Neural networks can adapt to changing input, so the network generates the best possible result without needing to redesign the output criteria. Artificial neural network uses the processing of the Brain as a basis to develop Algorithms that can be used to model complex patterns and prediction problems. A Neural network or an artificial neural network is a sort of computer software, inspired by biological neurons. In our Brain, there are billions of cells called Neurons which processes information in the form of electric signals. External information/ stimuli is received by the Dendrites ( a short branched extension of a nerve cell, along which impulses received from other cells at syna...

Slow Cooking

Slow cooking developed from a time when populations simply did not have the financial resources to be able to afford the better, tender more expensive sorts. The benefit of slow cooking, generally, is that food becomes incredibly tender, as all of its connective tissues break down. Also, flavor can infuse over time and provide deeper results than with virtually any other method. Last, long cooking times create a celebratory atmosphere where food is the focal point of a social gathering. Specifically, slow - cooking refers to the 'Slow Cooker' a counter-top set-up which has a large electronically heated ceramic bowl and a glass lid. It usually has only a few settings, such as 'low', 'Medium' and 'High'. The benefit of slow-cooking in a slow cooker is mainly convenience. The slow cooker is geared towards 'one-pot' recipes which means they require minimal food preparation. You simply cut ingredients in fairly large chunks, add seasoning and ...

Artificial Intelligence In Agriculture Industry

The most popular applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Agriculture sector appears to fall into three major categories. These are - 1) Agricultural Robots - Companies are developing and programming autonomous Robots to handle     essential agricultural tasks such as - Harvesting crops at a higher volume and faster pace than     human laborers. 2) Crop and soil monitoring - Companies are leveraging computer vision and deep- learning      Algorithms to process Data captured by Drones and/or software - based technology to monitor      crop and soil health. 3) Predictive analysis - Machine learning models are being developed to track and predict various      environmental impacts on crop yield such as weather changes. These applications are explained here -  AGRICULTURAL ROBOTICS - BLUE RIVER TECHNOLOGY - WEED CONTROL The ability to protect their crops from the weeds is a top priority for Farmers...

Causes For Rupee Incessant Decline Vis-a-Vis Dollar

Currency Depreciation is fall in the value of in the exchange market. For example, one Dollar rate was Rs.58.66 on 26th May, 2014 which has gone up to Rs.74.07 0n 5th Oct. 2018 four years later. This is the depreciation of  Rupee and appreciation of Dollar. Here are reasons for why rates are varying - 1) Dependency on Oil imports - India is the third country importing crude oil in the world, coming     after U.S. and China. India imports 80% of its oil requirements thereby making it more vulnerable     to changes in the international oil market. For example, if crude oil prices increase , our total     imports cost will also increase affecting our current account balance which in turn affects the     currency market. 2) LIRA connection - Turkey, the middle Eastern country is going through a financial crisis now.     Its relations with U.S. are infringes leading to a weak currency - Lira. Its currency has fallen 40% ...

Water Management In India

India is one of the world's most water-stressed countries. In 1950, India had 3000 - 4000 cubic meters of water per person. Today, it has fallen to around 1000 cubic meters largely due to population growth. China, by contrast, has twice the amount of water per person to about 2000 cubic meters. Growing competition over finite water resources compounded by climate change have serious complications for India's food security, as well as for the livelihood of its farmers and for the country's economic development. India's water resources are not evenly distributed. Half of India's annual precipitation falls in 15 rain soaked days, making floods and drought a fact of life in the country. India does not so much face a water crisis as a water management crisis, calling for a fundamental reassessment of the way country manages water. Since 2000,.around $ 3.4 Billion in World Bank support has helped 36 million people in 40,000 villages gain better access to drinking w...

Use Of Stents In The Heart

A Stent is a tiny wire mesh tube. It props open an artery and is left there permanently. When a Coronary Artery (artery feeding the heart muscle) is narrowed by a build-up of fatty deposits called Plaque, it can reduce Blood flow. If Blood flow is reduced to the heart muscle, chest pain can result. If a clot forms and completely blocks the Blood flow to part of the heart muscle, a Heart failure results. Stents help keep Arteries open and reduce the chance of heart attack. A Stent is inserted into the clogged Artery with a balloon catheter. The Balloon tipped to inflated and the stent expands and locks in place. This hold the Artery open and allows blood to flow more freely. This compresses the Plaque and open the narrowed spot. When opening in the vessel has been widened, balloon is deflated and catheter is withdrawn. This improves blood flow to the heart muscle and relieves symptoms ( usually chest pain). In a over third of patients, who have Angioplasty without a stent, the art...

Side Effects After Removing Gal Bladder / Stones

I have earlier made a post here about the Causes, Symptoms and treatment of Gall Bladder Stones. I am now sharing my views on the side effects after the removal of Gall Bladder and the stones. Gal Bladder removal is the last resort, but, one may try lifestyle changes first before surgery becomes necessary.Gal Bladder removal is a fairly common procedure, but it's always possible that one may experience some side effects. Knowing how to identify and reduce symptoms, side effects and complications before and after surgery may make for an easier experience. Fortunately, one can live a healthy life without Gal Bladder and the surgery to remove it is relatively simple. Without a Gal Bladder, bile can move directly from Liver to intestines to aid in digestion. However, there are still some chance one might experience after Gal Bladder removal. Gal Bladder surgery side effects 1. Difficulty in Digesting fat - It may take sometime for your body to adjust to its new method of   ...

Use, Prospects Of Nuclear Energy For Satellite/ Space Travel

A satellite is an object that goes around, or orbits, a larger object such as a Planet, while there are natural satellites, like the moon, hundreds of man-made satellites also orbit the Earth. Communications antennae, Radio receivers and transmitters enable the satellite to communicate with one or more ground stations, called Command centers. Messages sent to satellite from a ground station are "uplinked" and messages transmitted to Earth from Satellite are "Downlinked". Many Satellites are powered by rechargeable batteries, taking advantage of the ultimate battery charger, The Sun. Silvery solar panels are main features on many satellites. Other satellites have fuel cells that convert chemical energy to electrical energy, while a few rely on Nuclear energy. Small thrusters provide altitude, attitude and propulsion control to modify and stabilize the satellites in space.    Nuclear Thermal propulsion rocket engine would use a small nuclear reactor to generate h...

Gall Bladder Stones - Causes, Symptoms, Treatment

Gal Bladder is a small organ below the liver in the upper right abdomen. It is a pouch that stores bile (a bitter greenish brown alkaline fluid which aids digestion and is secreted by liver and stored in Gall Bladder). According to Harvard Health publications, 80% of Gall stones are made of Cholesterol and 20% are of Calcium salts and Billrubin. It is not known exactly what causes Gall stones, though there are some theories - Billrubin is a chemical produced when Liver destroys old blood cells. Some conditions, such as liver damage and certain blood disorders, cause liver to produce more Billrubin than it should. Pigment gallstones form when Gal bladder can't break down the excess billrubin. These hard stones are often Dark brown and black. Secondly, having too much cholesterol in bile can lead to yellow cholesterol stones. These hard stones may develop if liver makes more cholesterol than bile can dissolve. Gall Bladder needs to empty its bile to be healthy and to function pr...

How To Grow, Care Indoor Coffee Plants

Coffee is the second-most traded commodity in the world, behind only petroleum, and has become mainstay of the modern diet. Believed to have originated in Ethiopia, coffee was used in Middle East in 16th century to aid concentration. Legend has it that Kaldi, a Goat herder in 9th century Ethiopia discovered the energising effects of coffee when he saw his goats getting excited after eating some berries from a tree. He told the local monastery about this and the Abbot came up with the idea of drying and boiling berries to make a beverage. He threw berries into fire when the unmistakable aroma of what we know coffee drifted through the night air. The roasted beans were raked from the embers, ground up and dissolved in hot water - so was made the world's first cup of coffee. Different stories have emerged about its search and growing in Middle east, Europe, U.K, USA and other countries in Africa over a period of time. The history of coffee in India dates back in around 1600 A...

Remembering Happy Memories

As we age, the percentage of anxiety driven thoughts increase since a lifetime of anxieties produce unpleasant memories which shadows the happy ones. Any time you ask people about happy moments in their lives, they have to think hard. But ask them about unpleasant or sad moments, they will come easily with many. Neurobiology throw some light on it. There are sufficient indications that bad/ unpleasant thoughts occupy a major portion of our thinking. There is Socio- biological reasoning for it. In order to survive, humans developed strategies to get resources and ward off enemies and predators. This helped in developing the controlling instinct which allowed us to control our environment and hoard resources. All these came with the baggage of bad of harming others and in turn being harmed by them. These thoughts which lead to traumatic events produce very powerful memories in our brains. It has been observed that once anxiety-driven thoughts kick in, more and more negative thoug...

REIKI treatment - Part II

To begin Reiki practice, you must activate energy within yourself. Close your eyes and take a few rounds of deep breathing. Imagine the crown of your head opening and a stream of healing white light flowing from the top of your head, into your heart, and out through your arms and hands. The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to meditate. It is simply passed on from teacher to student. The feeling of being connected directly to God's healing love and protection is clearly apparent. To administer Reiki, a practitioner channels life force energy through his or her hands unto another. It is said that the aforementioned spiritual guidance enables the Reiki to flow through the affected parts of the subject's energy field and charges them with positive energy. It raises awareness in and around the physical body where negative thoughts and feelings are contained. This causes the negative energy such as - Stress, Anxiety, ...
